Course annotation

The course provides an overview of those issues in the typology of motion verbs that have been in the focus of studies in the last decades. This includes the classical issues of deictic verbs; the distinction between verb vs. satellite framed languages; and grammaticalization paths typical for motion verbs. I will also address some relatively new research topics such as the category of associated motion, as well as try to indicate some potentially interesting topics in motion verb typology that yet need to be studied.
