Course annotation

During this course, we will look at various phenomena typical for polysynthetic languages (incorporation, productive noninflectional concatenation, lexicalization of morpheme sequences, etc.), which may present a challenge for such contrasts as ‘word forms vs lexemes’, ‘inflection vs derivation’, etc. The course is primarily, yet not exclusively based on the data from Chukotko-Kamchatkan, Northwest Caucasian and Ainu languages
